Kensuke Komikado is a narrow-minded, sharp-tongued, sarcastic, temperamental spendthrift of a shrewd lawyer who also happens to have won 100% of his cases. No matter what kind of trial it is, Kensuke employs all manner of means and wiles to win. The great loves of his life are money, fame, and women, and he doesn't care about having a lousy reputation in legal circles. Machiko Mayuzumi, on the other hand, is a lawyer who has a strong sense of justice and zeal to a fault. She's also strait-laced and tactless. These two counsels are like water and oil. Even while being at each other's throats, they join forces in the courtroom.
